The greatest teen voice - Charice

YouTube has made numerous people becoming overnight sensation, from Justin Bieber to Rebecca Black. Charice is not an exception. Let's start with her background.
Charice came from a broken family. She has an abusive father who once pointed guns at her mother when she was three years old. In order to earn a living, she started singing when she was very young. At the age of 13, she joined a talent show in Philippines and was placed third. Two years later, she started posting a series of her performances on YouTube. These videos received over 13 million views. Charice was then discovered by Ellen DeGeneres. Invitation from Ellen DeGeneres to guest on her show has marked Charice's first American debut.

In the subsequent year, she appeared in The Oprah Winfrey Show. Charice was dubbed by Oprah as the Most Talented Girl in the World. After the show, Oprah contacted a legendary music producer to see what he could do for Charice.
Charice performed "My Heart Will Go On" in her second appearance in the show.

Following her performance, Celine Dion invited Charice to have a duet with her.

In 2009, Charice debuted her first internationally released single "Note To God".

In 2010, she released her secong single, "Pyramid", marking her career's peak.

She then joined Glee cast and took the role of Sunshine. She performed "Telephone" and "Listen" in the popular TV show.

Charice is just 19, yet she has established a successful career. Compared to other teen stars like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift, her voice is really powerful and most importantly, she is incredible in singing live. I am looking forward to getting her new album. Hopefully she will have one this year.
